The indoor season runs from September to April, so come the summer months it's worth trying to find some other places to play.
Beach Volleyball
Sand donated from the London 2012 Olympic beach courts at Horse Guards Parade, has been used to produce three recreational sized volleyball courts in Verulamium Park in St Albans. The courts have been funded by Sport England and Volleyball England’s Go Spike campaign. You can park your car at either end of the park, but charges may apply. Courts can be booked here. There is a minimal charge to use these courts. There are a number of groups who play on these courts:
- Our very own HVA Beach Volleyball Ladder.
- Green Sparrows Volleyball Club via Facebook, who play at a high level and organise beach volleyball tournaments. They are an offshoot of Red Eagles Volleyball Club.
- Kings Langley Beach Volleyball Club - via MeetUp who play on the beach Sundays between 5 and 7pm.
- Various social groups who play at a low/beginner level. Have a search on https://www.meetup.com
Outdoor Volleyball
VK Barnet sometimes organise outdoor volleyball sessions on grass. Contact the club directly.
