Summer Volleyball

The indoor season runs from September to April, so come the summer months it's worth trying to find some other places to play.

Beach Volleyball

Sand donated from the London 2012 Olympic beach courts at Horse Guards Parade, has been used to produce three recreational sized volleyball courts in Verulamium Park in St Albans. The courts have been funded by Sport England and Volleyball England’s Go Spike campaign. You can park your car at either end of the park, but charges may apply. Courts can be booked here. There is a minimal charge to use these courts. There are a number of groups who play on these courts:

  • Kings Langley Volleyball Club - via their website who play on the grass and beach volleyball on Sunday afternoons and beach on Thursdays.
  • Werewolves St Albans Volleyball Club - via Facebook  who play on the beach weekly Tuesdays 7-9pm but organise additional games all the time.
  • Various social groups who play at a low/beginner level. Have a search on https://www.meetup.com
